00-0001 - Setup doesn't allow to change program path and database path

In some cases you might get very limited possibilities of defining how and where the ZeeBORN modules will be installed. On the other hand you might have seen the Setup program asking you for where you want to place your local program files and where to put the database.

Reasons and Solutions

If you install a ZeeBORN module for the first time, you should always have the option of choosing the programs folder and database folder. If this option is not given to you while running the setup program, there might be an older version of the ZeeBORN system already installed on your system (this could be also a ZeeBORN demo or preview). If there is the need of changing the folder during the installation, you must first uninstall all previous versions of the ZeeBORN System - of course this will include the deletion of all data stored so far.

Scenarios

"Yes, I have a demo installed but want to installed the licensed version to another place. I don't need the data I have collected with the demo.": Uninstall the demo and run the setup program of the licensed version again - you will now have the option where to put the program files and the database.

"Yes, I have a demo installed and need to keep the data I have already collected with the demo.": In this case you have to leave the folders as defined during the demo version. The setup program of the licensed version will keep the data and will upgrade the demo to a full version.

"The demo is already uninstalled but there is still no option for choosing another folder for program files  and the database.": There seems to be a problem with removing all parts and settings of the demo system. Please contact the ZeeBORN Support and they will give you a tool for removing all remaining files and settings from a previous demo installation.
