Checking Correct Time and Time Zone Settings

The correct setting of the system's time and time zone is essential for the correct operation of the ZeeBORN System and especially the included Data Replication module.

All data in the system will be stored in the database together with a timestamp identifying the time of creation or last modification. This timestamp will be used by the Data Replication module for synchronizing the data between two or more independent sites having their own local copy of the database. An incorrect setting of the time and time zone will lead to wrong or lost data.

Each time you login to the system you will see within the login dialog the current local time and UTC time. Please check especially the UTC time shown during login - this time is used for the data replication. If the shown UTC time isn't correct, please adjust the local time zone and time in the Windows Control Panel -> Date and Time. Please ask your system administrator before applying any changes to the date/time settings.
