In the Rank Management module you can define on a per ship base the number and type of required rank. The definition is done by selecting a single ship and assigning the required crew with a mouse click the the ships rank list.

 

Creating

A new rank list is defined by selecting a ship from the Ship combo box. After selecting the ship you can use the button Assign and Remove for assigning ranks from the list Available Departments and Ranks to the ship and for removing ranks from the rank list that are no longer required.

 

In the Details area of the list Departments and Ranks you can define the number of persons required for the selected rank (e.g. enter 8 if you need 8 times the rank Steward on board).

 

Copy rank list to other ship

A rank list can be copied to another ship by clicking the button Copy to other ship in the main screen of the Rank List module.

 

After clicking this button you will be asked for the ship to be used as a destination of the rank list to be copied. After clicking the button OK all data from the current ships rank list will be copied to the selected ship. Already existing data at the destination ship will be overwritten.
