In the Currency and Exchange Rates part of the Administrator module you can choose the currencies to be used in the system. The system itself contains nearly all currencies of the world but in most cases you will need a small selection of them.

 

Just set the currencies to be shown in the related modules (e.g. line item prices in Purchasing module) for making the selection of currencies much easier in these modules.

 

Please note: The online updating of exchange rates will be done only for currently active currencies.

 

In the Exchange Rates part of this module you have access to the exchange rates for all currencies. You can enter current rates manually but you can also use the online update for getting the newest exchange rates for all currencies that have been set to "Active". The online updating of the exchange rates will be done by calling up the Online Update gadget.
