The planning generator is designed for ship by ship planning of the groups. All major data in the overview are displayed as the information whether a group was assigned to several ships. The fixing of the first start date for each group has to be performed manually. It should be noted is that there are no overlaps. After this the date is automatically saved by the system.
Assignments are created by creating a crew members assignment record having the sign on and sign off linked to crew changes entries in the time table module.
The creation of an assignment is done with some easy steps:
1.Choose the status type (on board, on leave etc.). The chosen status controls what further details are necessary for defining an assignment record.
2.Choose a ship/site. This will mainly control what ranks/positions will be shown in the following selection.
3.Choose the position (the rank).
4.Set the sign on date by choosing a crew change from the list of available crew changes.
5.Adjust the sign on date if the selected crew change if the selected crew change describes a period of more than one day.
6.Repeat the steps from 5. for the sign off date.
Notes:
•Crew change entries must be defined in the Time Table module before they can be shown in the assignment record creation screen.
•The date values shown below the selected sign on and sign off crew change can be changed only within the date range defined in the crew change entry.
