Document updates will always be distributed automatically to assigned sites/ships as soon as a newer and released version of a document has been flagged for distribution via the Approve Distribution command. Whenever a new document will be created and released or a new version of an existing document will be released the system will check the library section assignments for performing an automatic update of already distributed document packages.

Note: For some licenses the Approve Distribution button won't have any function as the approval for distribution may be automatically given together with releasing a document.

The actual creation of transfer packages will be initiated with the Send Updates command. Within the Send Updates dialog you can initiate a transfer to selected sites similar to the normal Database Replication module.
