The Fleet Monitor requires a permanent analysis of all existing data in the Fleet Management database for providing the status information to the user.
Due to the huge amount of data to be analysed during the creation of the status information, this updating of the status will be done in the background in a pre-defined interval (by default every hour).
Possible Problems
If this Fleet Monitoring Service is not running, the status information for the fleet will not be updated and the Fleet Monitor gadget will show outdated values. If this is the case you will see a warning message in the Fleet Monitor gadget ("Warning: The Fleet Monitoring Service is not running on the database server. All shown values are outdated.").
Solutions
Click the Request Update button for forcing a status update by the Fleet Monitoring Service. After a few minutes you can re-open the Fleet Monitor Gadget and you will see the updated status information.
