Distribute
When distributing a service order to another ship, it can happen that the job will create as a free job - namely, when no equivalent job will be found on the destination ship.
After distributing an overview is available. It shows if spare parts and /or jobs were converted in free line items / free jobs.
You can recognize the free job by displaying job details without information from the maintenance system. It is because the free job is not linked to a maintenance job:
A normal job contains information about maintenance:
A free job can only be reported via a simple remark field. There is no link to the maintenance module.
If you want to make the report visible in the maintenance system and be able to report it like a normal maintenance job, you now have the option of converting a free job into an “on demand job”. This can be done with the following steps:
RQ:
- Open
-Approved on board
-Approved
PO:
-Open
-Approved
-Sent, nicht reported
There is a new button "Create on demand job" for this:
This button is only visible under the following conditions:
-the office license is active
-there is at least one free job in the SQ / SO
-the user has the following right to access:
If the button is clicked, all free jobs of SQ/SO will be displayed in a separate form.
It is necessary that an “on demand job” must be linked to a component. The system already tries to find a suitable component when loading the free jobs. If a suitable component is found, it will also be displayed (1):
The button „Select Component“ is disabled in this case.
If no matching component is found, the button "Select Component" is enabled and no new component is displayed in the grid (1):
Then the selected jobs are created via "Create on demand job (s)" and are available on board after starting the next data transfer.
